The Zync Z605 was expected to arrive much earlier than this, but the press release announcing its availability has winged its way into our inbox only just now. At any rate, here’s yet another budget Zync Android smartphone with a large screen for your consideration.
Nailed at Rs 7,999, the phablet sports a 6.5-inch touchscreen of the capacitive type. It works with Android Jelly Bean, a dual core chipset (possibly one from MediaTek) as well as 512MB of RAM. Since we’re on the subject of memory, there’s 4GB of onboard space.
Not enough for all you entertainment buffs, of course. That’s exactly why the company has also taken the trouble to slip in a slot for holding a microSD card of up to 32GB. What’s that? A ‘PureView’ camera on the back panel, says Zync. More like a hurriedly cobbled together presser.
The phone has a 3MP shooter on the rear and a 0.3MP one above the screen. You’ll find that the 2500mAh battery embedded inside is only capable of delivering a disappointing 2.5 hours of talk time on 3G networks and 3 hours on 2G. All in all, nothing exceptional about this phablet.
Here’s a quick run of the Zync Z605 specs:
