Zync Z1000 unveiled, priced disclosed as Rs. 10,990, packs an HD display, inbuilt 3G support

Zync Z1000

The Zync Z1000 is yet another addition to the vast availability of low price tablets in the country and for the tag this piece of hardware carries, users will be presented with a host of quality features, or so it seems. Some of the main attractions of this slate are its HD display and 3G cellular support right out of the box.

The Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform runs the show here and the manufacturer has promised an update to Jelly Bean, but the answer to when is still a mystery. The device flaunts a glossy finish and a slim form factor that’s coated in black. Fitted within its chassis is a 1.5GHz processor backed by 1GB of DDR3 RAM and Mali 400 graphics. Unlike most tablets developed by Zync, the Z1000 appears to be the first to fall within the 9.7-inch segment and also to carry an HD display with a 10-point touch input. The internal storage capacity amounts to 8GB and there’s a microSD card slot for expansion up to an additional 32GB.

Front

The rear is fixed with a 2MP camera, while the front features a 0.3MP snapper for video conferencing. Much like the Z999 Plus, this slate also tags along a GSM SIM card slot supporting both 2G and 3G networks. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n and HDMI. As an added bonus, the device will arrive bundled with freebies that amount to approximately Rs. 1,350. They include add-on accessories such as a Lycra pouch, a screen protector, earphones and a Big Flix subscription free for a month.

The Zync Z1000 tablet is available for purchase at Rs. 10,990 through the online store. The company states that the slate will also be up for grabs across 22 locations in the country.
