If reports making the rounds are to be believed, then the ZTE Nubia Z7 seems to have been granted a baffling set of attributes, to say the least. A 6.3-inch screen will make it the largest device in the ‘phablet’ space, while an octa core processor will definitely set it aside from the few penta-core offerings that are out right now. However, it is not being seen as something that we’ll get to handle anytime soon.
The massive 6.3-inch display of the supposed Nubia Z7 will place this device right in no man’s land territory between phones and tablets, which has come to be known as the phablet space. Another outrageous piece of information is that the display will be sporting a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440p which is greater that than that of the iPad mini and the iPad 2. As far as the question of the octa core processor goes, it can be recalled that it was only yesterday that Samsung had unveiled such a CPU at its CES 2013 stint.
The news about this apparent smartphone was outed by GizChina recently, and it came our way through Android Authority. The former has even come out with a list of other purported specifications about the it. According to the website, this baby from ZTE also carries other outlandish attributes such as 128GB of on-board storage, a 4,000mAh battery, a 16MP rear-facing snapper, a Mali-T658 GPU and 4G LTE. And lastly, it is said to run Android 5.0, the impending OS version which is expected to be announced by Google this year.
Pictured just above is the Z5 offering which had come to the fore during the end of 2012. This device houses a 5-inch touchscreen which is able to proffer a resolution of 1920 x 1080p. A quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.5GHz has been equipped to this smartphone, while its other features comprise of a 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a 13MP camera, Android Jelly Bean and more.
If at all a device such as the ZTE Nubia Z7 exists, its price and release date information is completely shrouded with secrecy right now. We’ll have more on it when additional details are out.
