ZTE has launched its Nubia Z11 mini S with a 23MP rear camera at Rs 16999. Amazon India is the exclusive seller of the phone and kicked off sales of the handset at 4pm on March 21, that’s today.
As mentioned previously, we had a chance to give the Z11 mini S a spin and have come away pretty impressed with its features. The device packs a 5.2-inch 1080p Gorilla Glass display, a rear fingerprint sensor and a mostly metal body into a size that fits very comfortably in the hand.
Sure, the design is inspired by the iPhone, but it’s not actually an exact replica. Running on Android Marshmallow tempered by Nubia UI 4.0, the 4G-capable Z11 Mini S model which has been introduced to India, comes powered by an octa core Snapdragon processor and 4GB of RAM.
The highlight of this new Nubia phone is undoubtedly its combination of a 13MP front camera and 23MP Sony IMX318 rear shooter. Clicks taken in decent lighting conditions produce photos in true-to-life colors. There’s a bit of noise and loss of sharpness in low light, but that’s hardly unexpected.
The 3000mAh battery inside conveniently renders one day of average use. We were kept from fully appreciating the phone by its odd software – gesture touch which inadvertently triggered shortcuts occasionally and utility apps like the clock that demanded access to media and calling functions.
Otherwise, the phone feels like a good bargain at the price point it’s being offered at on Amazon India. Only the muddy gray color variant is available right now. Watch this space for the review!
