Price details of the Zen UltraTab A900 suggest that it is the latest low-cost contender in the Android tablet scene. According to the company, the 9-inch A900 is well-suited for those who need an intermediate device that is neither too small like those 7-inch slabs, nor difficult to carry around like 9- or 10-inch tabs.
Users can apparently easily multitask on this slate by launching multiple applications simultaneously as there’s a 1.5GHz processor and 512MB of DDR3 RAM. It claims to acquire intuitiveness and the user-friendly interface from the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform, and the manufacturer has not mentioned whether it will receive the Jelly Bean or not. The front panel accommodates a 1.3MP camera for video conferencing purposes along with a 9-inch, 5-point capacitive multi-touch display. Applications like Mig 33, Nimbuzz, nexGTV, paytm, MapMyIndia and more have been installed on the device.
The built-in Wi-Fi ensures wireless internet connection if there is an available hotspot, while 3G network support offers fast internet access with the help of an external dongle. The slate with dimensions of 238.6 x 148.6 x 11.8 millimeters, tips the scales at approximately 512.9 grams. An expansion slot has been embedded to extend support to a TF card of up to 32GB capacity and a 4000mAh battery is responsible for keeping the tablet charged for web browsing time of up to 14 hours.
The Zen UltraTab A900 will be available for a price of Rs. 7,999.
