Thanks to a partnership which Micromax-owned Yu Televentures has inked with Reliance Digital, its Yureka Plus, Yuphoria and Yunique handsets will start being sold in India via offline channels. This is the first time that such a sales model is being used for the phones, as they had only been selling through online retailers since launch.
Over 30000 retail outlets of the Anil Ambani-owned company will be selling the Yu Yureka Plus, Yuphoria and Yunique smartphones. Notably, they will be sold at higher prices than what they are being offered at online.
The Yureka Plus can be grabbed via Amazon at Rs 8999 right now, but it will be sold by Reliance at Rs 10999. As for the Yuphoria, it costs Rs 6499 when bought off Amazon, but will be available at Rs 7999 offline.
The story of the Yu Yunique is an even stranger one. The device was launched through Snapdeal at the highly attractive price of Rs 4999, but it recently started selling at a higher amount of Rs 6499. This is the same value at which it will be offered by Reliance Digital.
Yu Televentures is currently gearing up to launch its latest smartphone which is supposed to come with flagship-grade specs. Dubbed Yutopia, this offering is being touted to be the ‘world’s most powerful phone.’ Teasers of this device have confirmed that it will grab a Quad HD display and a metal design, but its other specs remain a secret.
Like we said, the online-only Yu Yureka Plus, Yuphoria and Yunique smartphones will soon be made available through Reliance Digital stores all over India at the above mentioned retail values.
