So far, all the smartphones launched by Yu Televentures have featured the Cyanogen OS onboard but a new version of the Yureka Plus has now emerged on Amazon, and it runs the stock version of Android. The fresh device is available at the same price as that of the other model, which is Rs 8999.
UPDATE: Now even the Yu Yuphoria has shown up on Amazon India with a discount of Rs 500 and Android Lollipop instead of Cyanogen.
This version of the Yu Yureka Plus runs the Android 4.4 KitKat OS, but is upgradable to Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, its listing says. Notably, the original model was running the Android Lollipop-based Cyanogen 12 OS right out of the box.
All the other specifications of the new Android model of the dual SIM Yureka Plus remain unchanged. So, you’re still getting a 5.5-inch IPS panel that’s able to display its visuals in 1080p full HD resolution. The heavy duty Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset with an octa core processor has been pushed inside it as well.
Assisting the processor in its activities is 2GB worth of RAM and an Adreno 405 GPU. 16GB worth of storage has been granted to this Yu handset, apart from a microSD card slot that’s able to offer additional space of up to 32GB.
