Giving us another glimpse of the immense popularity that it’s currently enjoying in India, the Yu Yureka today held another successful flash sale on Amazon. This time around, 15000 units of the device were made available for buyers, and they ran out of stock in a mere 4 seconds.
Amazon has now revealed that the next flash sale for the smartphone will take place on February 26 at 2pm, and registrations for it will be opened up today in the evening. There’s no word yet on how many units of the Yu Yureka will be made available the next time it goes on sale through the e-retail website.
Yu happens to be a sub-brand of Micromax if you’re no aware of it yet. Its first phone is distinguished by the fact that it runs the Android-based Cyanogen 11 OS. It benefits from a 5.5-inch HD display that is coated with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3. At the handset’s heart lies a Snapdragon 615 chipset bearing a 1.5GHz octa core processor and 2GB worth of RAM.
The photography needs of its buyers will be satisfied by a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front one. The Yureka’s 2500mAh battery helps keep the phone going for 8 hours on a single complete charge.
