As you probably know, the OnePlus One is en route to India and the company has now disclosed that it’ll be implementing the same invite system it’s currently using for its global operations. Getting an invite has proven to be extremely tough in some cases, but that shouldn’t be a problem for the said country.
OnePlus notes that it will be issuing India specific invites and you won’t have to struggle to land one. Invites will be offered through the company’s forums and social media channels. The main reason for implementing this system is to avoid unnecessary risks since they’re venturing into a new market. It will also help the company control inventory and keep up with demand.
The OEM will also be working with a local partner to make the process of landing a OnePlus One easier. The smartphone is one of the most affordable flagships on the market. It offers a large display in a compact form factor with extremely thin bezels.
The company hasn’t held back on specs as the phone is as powerful as almost every other flagship currently available. It packs a 2.5GHz quad core processor, 3GB RAM, a large battery and storage options of 16GB and 64GB. Sadly, there’s no memory expansion available, but the latter model will be initially available in India.
