The One mini can’t possibly look more like it stepped off a David Koma runway show and walked right into HTC. The Taiwanese company roped in the UK-based designer to add his touch of creativity to the One series smartphone and see what we have here.
A fabulous silvery gray back panel covered in abstract, charcoal patterns which are said to be inspired by tribal themes. If you haven’t already seen what Koma does with garments, just skim through his collections and you’ll know how well his signature design philosophy has been translated to fit the HTC phone.
Win-win and how to win one
Don’t like the print? Fear not, you’re not going to be assaulted by the sight of every other person carrying this around. Only 10 such pieces are up for grabs since it’s a limited edition we’re talking about. And it’s still a win if you’re an HTC/Koma fan considering that only 9 others will have the same design.
HTC is giving away these special edition smartphones through a Twitter contest (UK only) that kicks off today and runs until September 22. Just put your creative side to the task by sketching out your very own pattern for the device. You can submit your idea after making sure you’re following @HTC_UK and adding the #HTCKoma hashtag.
Why you shouldn’t submit the best design idea you have
So you really want this One mini, do you? 10 lucky winners get the signature edition handsets. The Grand Prize is a print of the original artwork autographed by Koma. Oops.
