Owners of the Xolo Q610s, which was launched by the Indian company back in August last year, have just been blessed with a pleasant surprise. The stylishly built smartphone which was running Android 4.4 KitKat till now has been granted an update to the Android 5.0 Lollipop version.
This upgrade however is only available in the form of a manual download, but an OTA release is expected to take place in the coming days. Those who can’t wait until then can head over to the company’s website to acquire the manual download and install it on their Xolo Q610s smartphones by taking the help of the detailed instructions provided there.
Xolo hasn’t revealed its exact changelog of this Android 5.0 Lollipop update, but main attributes like the ART runtime, the new notifications system, a guest mode, fresh quick settings and more are certainly expected to form part of it. Due to these, the phone is definitely bound to get a performance boost.
Back during its release, the Q610s was appreciated for its low asking price of just Rs 7099, but right now it’s selling for much less than that through various retailers. It features a 4.5-inch WVGA display and a quad core processor among other modest offerings.
