A new Xolo smartphone has emerged in the form of the Q900S Plus which has just been found listed on the company’s official site. Set to be made available at Rs 8299, this device is being touted to be the world’s lightest phone by its maker.
We have to admit; using that superlative is a pretty desperate thing to do on its maker’s part, but at 100gms the Xolo Q900S Plus does seem to be quite a lightweight handset. As you may have already figured out, this phone is an upgraded version of the Q900S Android and Windows Phone models released by the Indian company earlier.
Instead of the 4.7-inch qHD display which is present on the Android model, the Q900S Plus grabs a 720p HD panel of the same size. Furthermore, it runs the Android 4.4 KitKat OS, but all its other components stay the same as those of its previous variants.
That means users will be the beneficiaries of a 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor which will be assisted in its operations by 1GB worth of RAM. 8GB worth of storage will be present on this Xolo device, apart from a microSD card slot which will let you expand it further up to 32GB.
Here’s a quick glance at the specs of the Xolo Q900S Plus:
– Display: 4.7-inch IPS OGS, 720p HD
– OS: Android 4.4 KitKat
– Processor: 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 200
– GPU: Adreno 302
– Memory: 1GB RAM, 8GB storage (expandable up to 32GB)
– Camera: 8MP rear, 2MP front
– Battery: 1800mAh

The affordable Xolo Q900S Plus is still to be made available for purchase, but we’re guessing that should not take much time to happen.
