Indian manufacturers don’t seem to worry that much about updates to their affordable smartphones, but Xolo has proved itself to be an exception by releasing Android 4.4 KitKat for its Q1000 Opus. It can be downloaded OTA (over-the-air) as well as through your PCs, so either of the two options can be chosen.
Back in December, when this handset was released for the Indian market, it had come out with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean onboard. This jump to Android 4.4.2 KitKat will infuse it with lots of great features which Google had introduced with the latest version of its OS. For those without a Wi-Fi connection handy, a download via PC is advised. Read these instructions to know how to go about doing that.
The Xolo Q1000 Opus smartphone is highlighted by its 1.2GHz quad core Broadcom BCM23550 ARM Cortex A7 chipset, whereas it comes equipped with 1GB worth of RAM as well. There is 4GB of storage present on the handset, apart from a microSD card presenting up to 32GB of expandability. A 5MP rear snapper and a 0.3MP front camera also form part of its offerings.
Like we said, the KitKat update for the Xolo Q1000 Opus can be grabbed in an OTA fashion as well as through your computers.
