The Xolo Q610s is the Indian company’s fourth smartphone launch this month and it’s yet another addition to the affordable Android 4.4 KitKat handset segment which is already crowded with many options. It is yet to be formally unveiled by the company, but it has been listed on the official website along with a price of Rs 7099.
Xolo is focusing more on the sub-Rs 10000 category and it’s not just pushing out ordinary KitKat smartphones, but pretty alluring ones that offer premium-looking designs. The Q510s and A550s IPS are two such phones which are priced at Rs 6499 and Rs 5799, respectively. The Xolo Q610s is no exception as it offers a leather back finish with a stitched design on the edges.
It may be alluring on the outside, but don’t expect to find the Hive UI preloaded here, at least for now. The Xolo Q610s smartphone offers a stock Android UI which is powered by a 1.3GHz quad core processor and Mali 400 MP2 graphics. The display on the front is 4.5 inches wide with FWVGA visuals.
Accompanying the CPU on the inside is 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. There’s a 32GB compliant microSD card slot as well, apart from a 1700mAh battery that offers a pretty decent talk time of about 19 hours on 3G. What’s worth noticing is that there’s no dual SIM support on the phone.
