Xolo has launched the Era 4G in India and put the affordable smartphone up for sale exclusively through Snapdeal. Registrations for the handset are now live and its sale will commence on 26 February at 10 am.
The top selling point of the Xolo Era 4G is its LTE support at the entry-level price of Rs 4777. It’s clearly aimed at the masses in India with in-built support for over 10 regional languages consisting of Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Odia, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, Assamese, and Telegu.
The dual-SIM Xolo phone further sports a 2500mAh battery which is supposed to last for 455 hours of standby time and more than 13 hours of 2G talk time. With regards to its photography skills, the company has blessed the device with a 5MP rear camera which is accompanied by LED flash. There’s also a 2MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Xolo claims its sold over 150000 units Era series phones so far. The budget LTE segment in India is increasingly becoming crowded and the Era 4G will have to fight it out with phones such as the Intex Cloud 4G Smart (Rs 4999) and Aqua Wing (Rs 4599) in order to stay afloat.
