It’s been quite some time since the Redmi Note 4 was launched by Xiaomi in China; August 2016 is when that happened. It seems the company is now ready to bring the device to India as soon as in January next year.
In case you’re a bit confused, the Redmi Note 4 and the Redmi 4 are both different devices. The phone is question is a successor to the Redmi Note 3 which is being sold in India right now at Rs 9999 (2GB RAM) and Rs 11999 (3GB RAM). The price of the new handset is expected to be along similar lines.
As per a report from MakTechBlog, there will be three variants this year, with each of them running the Snapdragon 625 processor rather than the Helio X20 chip which is found inside Chinese models. The difference between the three will be that they will offer 2GB, 3GB or 4GB of RAM.

This Xiaomi phone will kick in a 5.5-inch 1080p display covered with 2.5D curved glass. A rear facing fingerprint scanner and a 4100mAh battery will be its other highlights.
There’s no official word yet on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4’s arrival in India; so this news should be taken with a pinch of salt. We’ll try to bring you more on this soon.
