Xiaomi’s Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3 will be available without registrations this week

The much loved Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone as well as the equally appreciated Redmi Note 3 are both set to be made available without registrations by its maker. Open sales of both these smartphones will take place on May 4, and they will also be accompanied by the company’s 20000mAh Mi Power Bank.

These offerings will be purchasable exclusively through Mi.com from 2pm onwards on the said date. While the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be made available at Rs 24999, the Redmi Note 3 will be sold in exchange of either Rs 9999 or Rs 11999 depending on whether it’s the 2GB RAM/16GB storage model or the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant.

The Chinese company’s flagship smartphone for this year, the Mi 5 is the first in India to offer the Snapdragon 820 chipset. This highly advanced SoC features a quad core processor and an Adreno 530 GPU, and both of these work in tandem with 3GB worth of RAM.

Xiaomi has blessed the device with a 5.15-inch 1080p full HD display as well as a 16MP rear camera which is assisted by 4-axis image stabilization and phase detection autofocus. An Ultrapixel front facing camera is present on this handset as well, aside from a 3000mAh battery.

Like we said, May 4 is the date on which the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3 will go on open sale. This will happen via Mi.com from 2pm onwards.
