Xiaomi’s Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3 set to go on open sale again on May 11

Looks like Xiaomi has a good enough supply of units of the Mi 5 (Rs 24999) and the Redmi Note 3 (starts at Rs 9999) coming into India to hold more on more open sales for them. The two devices, along with the company’s 20000mAh Mi Power Bank will again be going on open sale on May 11 via Mi.com from 2pm onwards.

This sale means you will be able to purchase these devices without having to register beforehand. Xiaomi has not revealed the exact number of units of the Mi 5 or the Redmi Note 3 that will be made available; so interested parties must not waste any time in placing their orders.

It must be noted that the Redmi Note 3 will be doled out through a flash sale on the same date and at the same time via Amazon. For this sale though, patrons will have to register themselves. However, this means they have two chances for grabbing the new smartphone.

The Redmi Note 3 device benefits from a 5.5-inch full HD monitor, and even grabs a fingerprint scanner. It runs on the combination of a hexa core Snapdragon 650 processor and 2GB or 3GB of RAM depending upon whether there’s 16GB or 32GB of storage onboard. It does feature microSD support in case you’re wondering.

The Redmi Note 3 benefits from a 16MP rear camera and a 5MP front snapper. As for the battery, a 4050mAh unit has gone inside this handset.
