Xiaomi will offer its devices in India exclusively through Flipkart

After securing deals with Motorola, Alcatel and BlackBerry amongst others, Flipkart has reportedly managed to score a partnership with Chinese giant Xiaomi to sell its devices in India. The OEM is expected to launch two smartphones next month and will offer them exclusively through the e-retailer in question.

We’ve been hearing of Xiaomi’s planned push into the Indian market for a few months now and just last week, we seen the company launch a dedicated website with nothing more than a welcome message and a Facebook promo. According to BGR India, the company will launch two smartphones sometime between mid-July and early August.

The report also notes that Flipkart won’t be importing the phones directly like what it did with Motorola. Instead, Xiaomi will bring the devices to India and only use the retailer as means of distribution. The first handsets to reach the country will be the Redmi and Mi3.

It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the MIUI V5 UX. The Mi3 is a high-end phone which sports a 5-inch FHD screen and is powered by a 2.3GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SOC.
