Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is old news now, company slashes its price by Rs 2000

Xiaomi has taken Rs 2000 off the Redmi Note 4G, bringing its price down to a pleasant Rs 7999. What’s more, those who buy it from Flipkart may be able to get it for even lower than that since the retailer has an exchange offer going on. All you have to do is check if the deal is available for your area, provide the details of the handset you wish to swap and then see how much more cheaper you can get the Xiaomi device for.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G was launched in India in late 2014 for Rs 9999. Since then, several new competitors have arisen with similar or better features but lower rates. Just take the Micromax-backed Yu Yuphoria which costs Rs 6999 for example.

The Xiaomi phone has some pretty decent specifications to boast about starting with its quad core Snapdragon processor, 13MP main camera, 2GB of RAM, 5.5-inch HD touchscreen and 4G connectivity. It even has a 5MP front-facing snapper for selfies.

The Redmi Note is being sold with MIUI 5 onboard; but there’s an update to MIUI 6 which does not bring in the Lollipop experience. Although the phone makes for a really good mid-range Android device, Xiaomi’s treatment of the interface leaves a lot to be desired.
