It seems as though, Xiaomi is now ready to introduce its Redmi 2 smartphone in India, and March 12 is most likely the date on which it will be unveiled. This new device is being teased through an online contest which is letting participants win priority passes to purchase it without going through the flash sale hassles.
The contest in question is asking people to solve a word puzzle by finding at least 3 keywords hidden inside it. Snapdragon, expandable, quick charge and wide-angle are some of the words that are pointing out that the gadget being teased is indeed the Xiaomi Redmi 2.
That’s because, it runs on a Snapdragon 410 chipset which supports the quick charging functionality, and moreover, it also features expandable storage and a 28mm wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture on its rear camera. The Xiaomi Mi Pad tablet is also expected to be launched in India soon, but these clues in no way describe that product.

It has been said that the mystery will be solved on March 12, but we doubt that the Redmi 2 will be going on sale on the said date. Usually, all of the company’s trademark flash sales are held by Flipkart on Tuesdays, so March 17 is when we’re guessing it should go on sale.
