Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime headed to India with upgraded memory

It’s probably time for the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime to enter India, as an enhanced version of the original device. This variant comes with 2GB worth of RAM instead of 1, while it even offers 16GB of base storage instead of 8.

Those are the only two differences the 4G device will bear with its predecessor that’s being sold in India since quite a long time. We still don’t have any word on its price, but in case you’re unaware, it the original Xiaomi Redmi 2 is available in the country right now at just Rs 5999.

It has reached that retail value after a Rs 1000 price drop recently. This means that the upcoming Redmi 2 Prime might arrive sporting its same original retail value of Rs 6999. That’s an extremely affordable asking amount for a device of this caliber.
