Xiaomi’s Pocophone F1 has been flitting in and around the rumor mills for a few weeks now, but no one has gotten a good look at the handset. Two new leaks change that by providing a specs list, images, and its retail box.

The photos certainly look legitimate, but they’ve been deleted from the original site which leaked them, PC Garage. Two tipsters shared the snaps via Slashleaks. It seems Xiaomi is preparing to launch the smartphone in mid-September and then bring it to India in the first week of October.

The Pocophone F1 apparently has a Snapdragon 845 processor at its heart. It might stay cool thanks to a liquid cooling system. A 4000mAh battery is expected inside, aided by Quick Charge 3.0 for faster refueling. Don’t expect wireless charging though, since the back appears to be pure metal with no glass in sight.

On a positive note, the images and specs indicate that Xiaomi is granting it a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. There’s also mention of IR face unlock and a 20MP front-facing camera. The back features a pair of AI-enhanced 20MP + 5MP snappers, with a fingerprint scanner directly underneath them.

Xiaomi Pocophone F1 Rumored Specs and Price

The Pocophone F1’s screen might stretch to a 5.99-inch size with a resolution of 1080 x 2246p. It notably has a notch at the top and fairly thick borders. There’s supposedly going to be 64GB of storage and 6GB of RAM. The leak hints that Android 8.1 Oreo will be present, along with MIUI 9.

It seems the Pocophone F1 will be priced at RON 2000 which converts to roughly $500 or Rs 34278. This puts it in the crosshairs of notched, Snapdragon 845-running rivals like the OnePlus 6 and Asus 5Z. Neither phone offers a liquid cooling system though, so Xiaomi will have them beat in that department at least.
