The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 has once again popped in the rumor mills. The handset has been travelling around the world appearing on various regulatory authorities like the NCC and US FCC. It made a pit stop in Europe to get a trademark registered there too.
Now a MySmartPrice report claims that the Pocophone F1 will be arriving in India alongside the rest of the world. This isn’t a total surprise, since an XDA Developers article also claimed the same back when the name of the device wasn’t known. The common thread in all the leaks so far is that the device runs on a Snapdragon 845 processor.
Xiaomi Pocophone F1 Rumored Specs
This is a big deal since Xiaomi has released a couple of SD845 phones in China but hasn’t brought any of them outside its home country. It’s not clear how the Pocophone series will differ from the brand’s other flagships yet. No one’s even gotten a look at the smartphone.
This could change in the coming days as we get closer to an official launch. Specs-wise, rumors suggest that the Pocophone F1 will have a large 5.99-inch LCD FHD+ display. There’ll likely be a notch or narrow-bezel design to go along with the 18:9 aspect ratio.
Xiaomi might sell the handset with 6GB of RAM inside and either 64GB or 128GB of ROM to keep it company. Android 8.1 Oreo will probably be around, layered over with MIUI. The company is apparently planning on placing a pair of cameras at the back. Resolution details aren’t available yet, but they might specialize in optical zoom.
A 4000mAh battery may fuel the Pocophone F1, while a rear fingerprint scanner might protect it. Tipster Roland Quandt says the 6GB/64GB variant will be priced at EUR 420 (approx Rs 33643) and the 6GB/128GB option at EUR 460 (roughly Rs 36847).
