The Redmi 4A has officially arrived on Indian shores after making its debut in China back in November 2016. The phone had been launched alongside the Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime at the time.
Xiaomi is planning to launch the latter two in India as well going by a tweet posted by brand VP Manu Kumar Jain. He stated that the successors to the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime are coming soon and attached a teaser image affirming this.
Getting back to the Redmi 4A, the smartphone will set interested buyers back by Rs 5999. This makes it one of the cheapest phones the company has to offer in India. Its specs match its price for the most part. One of its key attractions is its 3120mAh battery which the manufacturer claims can last for 7 days of standby time.
Xiaomi’s also blessed the device with a 13MP rear and 5MP front camera. Both have been equipped with an aperture of f/2.2, but only the former gets the benefit of LED flash to light up dark environments. The company’s also touting its dual apps feature which lets you sign into two WhatsApp or Facebook accounts at the same time.
