If you’re thinking of getting yourself an affordable Android tablet, the Xiaomi Mi Pad is an option you should definitely consider, especially since its price has just been cut by Rs 2000 by its makers. You’ll need to pay just Rs 10999 instead of Rs 12999 in order to lay your hands on the device.

This reduced retail value has already started reflecting on its Mi.com and Flipkart listings. Manu Jain, Xiaomi’s head of operations in India has said that the firm has taken this decision with an aim of making the Mi Pad more accessible to those residing in the country.

This tablet boasts of running on a 2.2GHz quad core Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, and displays its visuals on a 7.9-inch 2048 x 1536 pixel IPS panel that’s covered with Gorilla Glass 3. The Mi Pad moreover, grabs 2GB worth of RAM and 16GB worth of storage which is of course expandable up to 128GB by means of its microSD card slot.
