There’s yet another Mi Max 3 leak doing the rounds, this time revealing a bunch of its specs. The phone was last seen clearing China’s 3C certification.
It’s now popped up in a Weibo post. It seems Xiaomi will be blessing the device with a huge 6.99-inch LCD screen. The company will probably grant it a trendy 18:9 display and FHD+ resolution. Its alleged 5500mAh battery might get paired with an 18W fast charger so you won’t have to wait around for hours while it refuels itself.

The leak also mentioned a Snapdragon 710 processor, last seen gracing the Mi 8 SE. There’s also 4GB and 6GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly. It’s indicated that the Mi Max 3 will sport a dual camera setup, with at least one lens featuring a 20MP Sony IMX363 sensor.
Xiaomi will probably ship the device with Android 8.1 Oreo onboard. MIUI 10 is more than likely to be present. The post doesn’t say anything about an iris scanner or wireless charging. Both had been hinted at in an earlier leak, but there’s no telling whether the brand will grant either feature to the mid-range smartphone.
Interestingly, there are hints of the Mi Max 3 on the company’s Chinese website. Some lines of code talk about a Minimal Drop Protection Cover for the handset. There are also references to other unreleased devices like the Redmi 6 Pro and Mi Pad 4.
As for when the Mi Max 3 will make its debut, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had confirmed a July unveiling for the phone. Given the flood of new leaks, the smartphone seems to be on the verge of a launch sooner rather than later. No official teasers have come out yet, but it’s only a matter of time before they start arriving.
