Xiaomi has decided to celebrate its 6th anniversary by announcing a special Mi Fan Festival on April 6th from 8am to 10pm. The day will see the launch of a number of new devices along with deals for existing ones.
The inaugural flash sale of the Xiaomi Mi 5 will kick things into high gear at 11 am on April 6. The company is notably offering its Mi Protect plan at Rs 499 only during the Mi Fan Festival. The next handset to be up on the slab will be the Redmi Note 3 at 2pm. Cases for the phone will be sold at a Rs 50 discount.
Finally, the 20000mAh Mi Power Bank will be available at 5pm priced at Rs 1699. The device will be making its India debut, effectively making it the highest capacity power bank the brand has ever sold in the nation. It comes with 2 USB ports and supports fast charging technology. The latter feature helps it to fully recharge within 7 hours.
Other products making their first appearance in India include the Mi In-Ear Headphones Pro (Rs 1399), the LED Light Enhanced (Rs 249) and the 120cm Mi USB Cable (Rs 149). The first offers 2 drivers for greater sound clarity. A dynamic driver takes care of bass and mid tones, while a balanced armature one deals with high notes.
Speaking of earphones, the Mi Fan Festival is also going to give away a free pair of Mi In-Ear Headphones Basic with the Mi 4i or Mi Pad. The manufacturer has even set up a fitness bundle which pairs together the Mi Band and Mi In-Ear Headphones Grey at Rs 1598, Rs 200 lesser than usual.
