The Mi A2 might be coming in more than one variant, according to a new leak out of Poland. The phone is currently listed on a Polish e-commerce site called X-Com in its regular version and a Lite version.
The Mi A2 Lite hasn’t been heard of before, so it’s a bit of a surprise. Both listings were first spotted by gsmManiaK. The handset appears to look similar to the standard variant except it has a display notch and two lines at the back dividing the phone into 3 parts. The regular iteration doesn’t have a notch and features antenna bands curving along the top and bottom.

The two are different in terms of specifications as well. The Mi A2 Lite boasts of a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup, a 4000mAh battery, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM, a Snapdragon 625 processor, and a 5.84-inch 1080 x 2280p screen.
The Mi A2 gets hold of a 12MP + 20MP dual camera setup, a 3000mAh battery, 4GB/6GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB/128GB of ROM, a Snapdragon 660 SoC, and a 5.99-inch 2160 x 1080p display. The pair does have Android One in common, so you can be sure to receive a pure version of Google’s software.
Xiaomi Mi A2 Price
The 4GB/32GB Mi A2 is priced at PLN 1299 (roughly Rs 24000), the 4GB/64GB at PLN 1399 (approx Rs 25850), and the 6GB/128GB one at PLN 1599 (about Rs 29546). The Mi A2 Lite goes for PLN 1049 (around Rs 19383).
It’s not clear why Xiaomi would reduce the battery capacity by a considerable 1000mAh in the regular Mi A2. There’s a chance the Lite alternative is a completely different smartphone and the Polish retailer somehow got it wrong.
