The Xiaomi Mi 4i smartphone has been selling in India in the form of a 16GB model right from the day of its arrival. However, its makers had indeed promised that a higher storage option will be made available in the future. The time for releasing that variant has finally come it seems, even as the company is teasing the arrival of a 32GB version of the device.
Wednesday, July 22 which is tomorrow will mark the one year anniversary of Xiaomi’s presence in India. The firm has revealed that it will be celebrating the occasion with various deals on its offerings, but along with that it is also teasing the launch of a new product which is widely believed to be the 32GB Mi 4i.
As you can see in the teaser image it has released, a traditional matchstick puzzle asks you to decode the message by moving 4 sticks in order to double the number 16. It’s pretty easy to solve and get the number 32, thus signifying that a 32GB option of a particular Xiaomi smartphone is on the cards.
As for the question of how we’ve reached the conclusion that it’s the Mi 4i, it’s simple. The Mi 4 and the Mi 4i are the only two devices from the company in India that do not feature expandable storage. Moreover, the former already has two storage options, while the latter has had just one choice since its launch.
