Xiaomi announces festive price cuts for its phones, accessories

Redmi 3S Prime

Xiaomi is getting in the festive mood by announcing a slew of discounts for its range of products in India. The limited-period cuts will be seen across a number of e-commerce platforms covering Amazon’s Great Indian Shopping Festival, Snapdeal’s Unbox Diwali Sale, Flipkart’s Big Billion Day Sale, Tata Cliq, and Paytm.

Xiaomi’s flagship Mi 5 gets the biggest price drop out of the bunch. It’ll be sold at Rs 19999, a significant Rs 3000 plummet from its previous Rs 22999 perch. To recall, the handset had initially been launched at Rs 24999 back in March this year, so this is the cheapest the handset has ever been in the country.

People on the lookout for an affordable phablet can now snap up the Mi Max Rs 1000 lower than before at Rs 13999. For those interested in more entry-level options, the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime are up on offer at Rs 6499 and Rs 8499, respectively.

This Rs 500 cut extends to the immensely popular 16GB version of the Redmi Note 3 too. The smartphone is now available at Rs 9499. Opting for double the memory will double the discount as well, since Xiaomi is vending the 32GB variant of the phone at Rs 10999, Rs 1000 lesser than before.

Other items which are temporarily becoming cheaper include the 16GB Mi 4, 10000mAh Mi Power Bank, and 20000mAh Mi Power Bank. The first is set to be sold at Rs 9999, the second at Rs 899, and the third at Rs 1899.
