Fujitsu has announced its plans to presents two unique notebook computers, at Japan Design 2008 – Innovation, in Milan. While, WoodShell is a conceptual notebook, the FMV-BIBLO NX95Y/D is a notebook on sale in Japan.
The WoodShell is housed in a wood-based frame and makes use of natural materials like forest-thinned cedar. Bio-based plastics have also been used for its housing and other parts. It not only proves to be an environmentally-friendly tool, but also offers enduring style and utility.
The FMV-BIBLO NX95Y/D is enclosed in bio-based plastic materials and makes use of less petrochemical-based materials, which lowers carbon dioxide emissions. The notebook is ideal as it reduces the burden on the environment.
The bio-based plastic materials include 30% of the plastic material in the housing and not in the keyboard or the one-touch buttons and its other parts.
Both the products are going to be on display under the sustainable design, starting from 16th April till 20th April 2008.
