Will Nokia unveil the Lumia 1520 at its October 22 event?

We have been hearing rumors about a certain Nokia Lumia 1520 which is nicknamed Bandit and it looks like the company is gearing up to launch it before the reins are handed over to Microsoft. An event has been scheduled to take place on October 22 and the Finnish company itself has tweeted the details through its official Twitter account. Obviously, the OEM has refrained from mentioning anything about the smartphone that will be on display, but we are pretty sure it’s going to be the 1520.

Even before Nokia announced the launch event, @evleaks had revealed that the Nokia Bandit will be unveiled on October 22. This is one of the reasons why we strongly feel that the event is indeed being organized in the honor of the said smartphone. And if you look at the image that Nokia has tweeted, it shows a huge guy which could mean that the company has a large phablet up its sleeve. Previous rumors have indicated that the gadget is likely to be the biggest Lumia phone till date with a 6-inch touchscreen.

Furthermore, it seems to be the proud owner of a 20MP PureView camera and is apparently slated to arrive in the US via AT&T. The phablet’s release date has been set for sometime in November. And that’s not all. We’ve also heard that the Nokia Sirius tablet could show up with the smartphone at the event. Its picture had surfaced on the web about a week ago.

There’s still more than a month to go before we will know whether the Nokia Lumia 1520 is coming for sure or not. But we will keep you posted as soon as we find out something more. So stay tuned.
