iOS 10 is finally here and WhatsApp has wasted no time in taking advantage of all the new OS has to offer. Version 2.16.10 of the chat app brings in a ton of fresh features for iPhone users to try out.

The biggest change in store for iPhone owners is the brand new Siri integration. Users can now place calls and send messages through WhatsApp via the digital assistant thanks to the introduction of third-party support in iOS 10. People also have the ability to position a Widget on the revamped lock screen in order to see things like recent chats without having to unlock their handset.

WhatsApp calls have so far been a pain to pick up in iPhones. Users had to swipe the call on the lock screen, unlock their smartphone, and only then be able to talk. This is happily not the case anymore since Apple is finally allowing individuals to engage with VoIP calls right from the lock screen, just like a normal call.

WhatsApp version 2.16.10 further debuts a new quick forward button next to photos and videos which lets users conveniently forward media with a minimum amount of hassle. Moreover, they’ll now be able to forward messages to multiple people at once. Individuals who they’re frequently in touch with will appear first when doing so.

Finally, WhatsApp for iPhone patrons can simply double tap the display when they want to switch from the front and rear camera. Version 2.16.10 of the application is rolling out right now and can be downloaded via the App Store.
