WhatsApp for iPhone has gotten a major new update which bumps up the version number to 2.17.1 and adds 3 new tools in the process. The upgrade is now live and will probably reach all users over the next couple of days.
First-off, WhatsApp for iPhone users can now send up to 30 photos or videos in one go. The previous limit was set at 10, forcing people to repeat the process over and over again to send a large batch of media files. The feature notably arrived for Android patrons earlier this month.
Another useful Android ability that has been carried over to iOS is a new offline queuing tool. People who are stranded without a reliable internet connection now have the power to hit send on a message even if they don’t have network at that point of time. WhatsApp is supposed to automatically line up these missives and send it the moment they go online again.

Finally, WhatsApp has revamped its storage usage screen. The earlier UI only showcased how many texts, GIFs, documents, voice messages, contacts, locations, images, and videos a particular chat contained alongside how much space they were occupying.
The fresh storage usage screen now lets consumers edit each of these divisions. The feature gives individuals the freedom to delete particular things from a conversation in order to create room. They can check out the new option by heading to Settings, Data and Storage Usage, Storage Usage, tapping on a contact, and finally choosing Clear Chat.
You can download WhatsApp version 2.17.1 via the App Store.
