Vivo has just launched in India a 4G smartphone named Y31L which has its price set at Rs 9450. This device may sound familiar to those who know about the Y31A handset which the company recently launched in China. That’s because the new offering just a rehashed version of it, that’s meant for India.
Going past the current trend of displays sized at 5 inches and beyond, the Vivo Y31L has adopted a 4.7-inch panel bearing a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. This dual SIM offering has furthermore gone for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset which is rarely being spotted these days. It hence features a 1.2GHz quad core processor and an Adreno 306 GPU.
This assembly is accompanied inside the device by 1GB worth of RAM and 16GB worth of expandable storage space. There’s an 8MP rear camera onboard, which is paired with an f/2.0 aperture lens. And while the China-focused Y31A offers a 2MP front snapper, the Indian model has gone for a 5MP unit to grant higher resolution selfies.

There’s a slight different in the battery department as well, with Vivo having provided the new Y31L with a 2200mAh power pack rather than a 2100mAh one. As for the software, Android 5.0 Lollipop with FunTouch OS 2.1 on top is what drives the device.
