Vivo V9 gets listed on India site ahead of March 23 launch

Vivo V9

The Vivo V9 is due to arrive in India on March 23, but it looks like the handset maker has decided to spoil the surprise by leaking the phone itself. The device is currently being listed on its site, complete with photos and specification details.

There’s a Rs 1 crore price tag listed as well, but that’s clearly just a placeholder. The images look authentic though, with the V9 sporting an iPhone X-esque notch up top to house various sensors. Even the wallpaper resembles the one Apple uses.

Vivo didn’t stop there, copying the iPhone X’s vertical dual camera positioning too. The smartphone is a pretty blatant rip-off, but it might just attract people who want the Apple flagship’s looks combined with an Android phone’s software. There are also some sprinklings of iOS inside with mentions of AR Stickers and Face Access.
