Vivo Nex hits India with in-display fingerprint scanner and pop-up camera

The Vivo Nex smartphone which has been grabbing quite some attention worldwide for its in-display fingerprint scanner and its unique pop-up camera mechanism has finally entered India. This phone will be made available for purchase from July 21 onwards via Amazon and Vivo’s official website for Rs 44990.

Potential buyers of the phone are being lured by a few offers as well. Those who purchase the Vivo Nex with HDFC credit cards are entitled to a cashback of Rs 4000, while no-cost EMI options are also part of the deal. One-time free screen replacement is being offered along with the device as well.

The Nex, in its quest to achieve an industry-leading screen-to-body ratio of 91.21 percent has gone for several technological innovations. Prime among them is the pop-up front camera which slides out of the top surface whenever it’s summoned. The phone also boasts of an in-display fingerprint reader, moreover.

Vivo has blessed it with a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED display which is virtually bezel-less in nature. The device runs on the top-end Snapdragon 845 chipset that’s combined with 8GB worth of RAM. 128GB of storage is also being offered with it.
