Vine has a Windows 10 app in place now

Short video sharing service Vine has gotten huge over the years, and it now has a Windows 10 app to call its own. It can be downloaded currently through the Windows Store and can be used by even those who don’t have an account on the service.

Vine on Windows 10 has a pretty standard layout, with a number of popular categories occupying space up top and the main options having been placed on the left hand side. It moreover, works on Windows 10 PCs as well as tablets.

You can of course upload your own Vine through this application. You can either click on the upload button or just drag and drop the video into it. It has a pretty easy interface to understand, when you’re trying to cut your video short to 6 seconds.

The Vine app in Windows 10 even comes with support for Live Tiles. You can pin your favourite channels or accounts to your Start menu in order to quickly access them. A cool features is that if you pin an account, you’ll see a preview of their latest Vines in that particular Live Tile.

Vine came into being in 2012, and grabbed everyone’s attention when it was purchased by Twitter in the same year for an apparent price of $30 million. It allows you to post or view six-second-long looping video clips. Over the years, this application has grown by leaps and bounds, and is now one of the most popular ones out there.
