Vine app makes its much-awaited debut on Windows Phone store

The Vine application, Twitter’s video sharing service has already made its mark on the Android and iOS platforms and now the utility has decided to take Windows Phone by storm. This app lets you share looping clippings of not more than 6 seconds with friends and followers to express something that a still shot cannot.

Creating a video is extremely easy and all you have to do is tap and hold the dedicated icon to record clips with sound. You can make use of both the front and the rear cameras and even preview videos before you share them on the application. And of course, you get an option to add a caption and comment on yours as well as others’ videos.

These may be extremely short clips, but that doesn’t mean you cannot add a touch of creativity to each of them. The utility boasts of a viewfinder overlay grid and the ghost tool, the last mentioned being one of the favorite modes of this app’s subscribers. And your audience for the videos is not limited to people using Vine, there’s an option to upload them to Twitter and Facebook too.

Furthermore, subscribers can watch popular videos through Explore and even visit thematic channels to view clippings on various topics. Just like Twitter, it too has a trending section and you can look for friends in the Find People section. And simply punch in the keywords or tags in the dedicated bar, if you are searching for a specific video. There’s absolutely no limit to the number of videos you can upload and Windows Phone customers can even pin favorite accounts, channels and the Vine camera to their start screen.

Vine is now available through the Windows Phone store for free. It is compatible with gadgets running the WP8 platform.
