Verizon’s grand event for unveiling its new Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2 smartphones is just a few hours away, but that hasn’t stopped a couple of leaks regarding the two devices from occurring. These smartphones will of course be made by Motorola, and will be sold exclusively in the US by the red carrier.
The Verizon Droid Turbo 2 is a successor to last year’s Droid Turbo. It will apparently be highlighted by its ‘shatterproof’ display and its advanced specs sheet. This phone has leaked in the past as the Moto X Force, telling us that it will be sold in other nations under that very name.
The image you’re seeing in the space down below contains pictures of both the Droid Turbo 2 and the Droid Maxx 2, with the first three being of the former and the last one being of the latter. While this picture has been outed by @evleaks, another leak has come via Phone Arena and has given away specs of both the handsets.
The Droid Turbo 2 will apparently ship with a 5.43-inch Quad HD display, and run on the combination of a Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB worth of RAM. It’s most likely to feature a 21MP rear camera and a 5MP front snapper. The specs of the Droid Maxx 2 on the other hand will be same as those of the Moto X Play.
Like we said, we are just a few hours away from the official unveiling event of the Verizon Droid Turbo 2 and Droid Maxx 2 smartphones. It’s there that we’ll be getting to know the exact price and availability details of these offerings; so stay tuned.
