As part of the usual February 14 festivities, the Droid Razr, HTC Rhyme and Jawbone Jambox are being extended via Verizon Valentine’s Day deals. Also on offer is a range of cases splashed out in shades of pink, red, black, white and blue. And the carrier insists that those celebrating Singles Appreciation Day are equally welcome to join the merriment.
The Motorola Droid Razr which comes in black and white, is now being proffered in an eye-catching purple hue. The phone can be ordered at $199.99, provided that potential subscribers are willing to sign the dotted line over a new two-year contract. And for a limited time, the network operator is handing out a second Razr of equal or lower value to those who buy one.
Hardly trying to hide the fact that it’s designed for women, the Rhyme by HTC was introduced in a plum color anyway. At present, Verizon is vending the smartphone for free on a fresh two-year agreement. All the accompanying accessories covering the tangle-free earphones, notification charm and docking station will also be tossed into the box.
Lastly, the Jambox Bluetooth speaker from Jawbone which is available in red and black shades currently strings along a $149.99 price tag. But then again, it seems to merely be part of the Valentine’s Day scheme which convinces people to lay out the cash for stuff in flirty tints, since ‘for a limited time’ has been attached to the announcement for the deal on this peripheral too.
Anyone who picks up the Droid Razr or HTC Rhyme through the Verizon Valentine’s Day deals will still have to sign up for a Nationwide Talk plan reading upwards from $39.99 a month and a smartphone data package commencing at $30 per month for 2GB data.
