Hours after the US availability of the next generation Galaxy S device was announced, the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III price have been revealed by the carrier. Needless to say, the phone runs the 4G LTE network and unlike most regions of the world, will be made available in shades of marble white as well as pebble blue.
The intuitive device offers a number of sharing options including Share Shot, S Beam, AllShare Play and Color app amongst others. It offers a generous scoop of Ice Cream Sandwich and acquires multitasking properties from the 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 2GB RAM. The front panel of the device is dominated by a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display along with a 1.9MP camera, while the back side sports an 8MP imager with features like zero-lag shutter speed and burst shot mode that captures 20 pictures instantly.
And if that’s not enough, it comes with the Smart Stay attribute that dims the display when users close their eyes and S Voice, which recognizes natural language to adjust volume levels, answer calls, shut the alarm off or click images. The Wi-Fi and NFC enabled smartphone also acts as a mobile hotspot to share the 4G LTE network speed with as many as 10 handheld devices. It will ship in variants with 16GB and 32GB onboard memory and is embedded with a microSD card slot too.
The Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III price for the 16GB variant stands at $199.99 and that of the 32GB model is tagged at $249.99. It is slated to go up for pre-order on June 6 and requires a two-year service agreement as well as a 4G LTE mobile broadband 2GB data package of $30 per month.
