That the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE edition will be doled out through the Verizon network just adds to the rapid influx of news pouring in from the CES 2013. The said carrier will be the first in the US to offer the device coupled with its services. The release date of the tablet is slated to fall sometime during the coming weeks, but its price has still been kept undisclosed. It will come equipped with Google’s Jelly Bean OS out of the box.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE was first introduced in February last year at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. But it was not until August that it was launched in major markets like the US and the UK. All versions of the tablet have been dished out with the Ice Cream Sandwich OS till now, and Big Red’s variant will be the first time that it will ship with the Jelly Bean platform running the show. One of the main attractions of the slab is its S Pen which helps users make the most of all the features offered by it.
This device also sports the multiscreen feature which grants users the ability to utilize two different applications at a time. And for tasks such as word processing, spreadsheets and presentations, there’s the Polaris Office software that’s present in it for easy access to all these features. Moreover, the Kno education application it comes loaded, something which enables students to download interactive material in e-textbook form.
Another aspect housed by this slate is the Samsung Smart Remote which turns it into a universal remote control for entertainment systems. Applications like AllShare Play, Pop up Play and Group Cast are kicked in by it as well. The high-definition screen of the device displays its visuals in a resolution of 1280 x 800p. Its operations are handled by a 1.4GHz quad core processor, whereas a 5MP camera as well as a 1.9MP front-facing snapper enhance its offerings.
