Verizon may offer Motorola’s Moto X on September 26 with free bamboo rear case

It looks like Verizon customers won’t have to wait much longer for the new Motorola Moto X to be available as the latest word on the street is that the smartphone will hit shelves on September 26. The carrier is also planning to offer the new flagship phone with special promotional pricing.

The good news comes through Phandroid which managed to get its hands on an internal document that discloses this information. The leak notes that the new Motorola Moto X 16GB black version will retail for $99.99 with a 2-year contract or $24.99 with the Edge program.

As part of a promotion, Verizon will wood up the smartphone for free. You’ll get a white model with a bamboo rear at $99.99 (new contract included) or $27.49 on Edge. This offer will be a limited time one as it ends on October 10. You’ll even be able to customize the handset through the Moto Maker tool.
