Now that the Verizon Motorola Droid Razr HD and Razr HD Maxx price and release date details are out through the carrier itself, we no longer have to rely on external sources to know how much the latest Razr lineup is going to cost or when it will be launched. Both handsets will be up for grabs through the provider on October 18.
The Droid Razr HD is equipped with 16GB of internal storage and it is cast in DuPont Kevlar fiber for enhanced durability. At 8.4mm thin it packs in 16GB of internal storage for basic hoarding needs. Where the battery life is concerned, the handset can deliver up to 24 hours of activity on a single charge. Potential buyers will be able to get hold of this device in either black or white colors.
Moving on to the Verizon Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD, potential buyers will be able to pick this smartphone drenched in black at launch. The company has given the device a slim appearance which measures just about 9.3mm in thickness. Although thin, the handset isn’t fragile, owing to its DuPont Kevlar fiber and Corning Gorilla Glass coating over the 4.7-inch HD display. For hoarding content, users will have 32GB of internal storage, apart from up to 32 hours of battery life on a single charge.
Both devices run on the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform with an upgrade to Jelly Bean slated to arrive soon. Additionally, they provide access to the carrier’s 4G LTE network for downloading content. Powering up these handsets is a dual core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and 1GB of RAM for smooth transitions between menus and applications.
The carrier plans to make the Verizon Motorola Droid Razr HD and the Razr HD Maxx available for purchase on October 18 for $199.99 and $299.99, respectively, with a new two-year contract.
