Verizon marks Ellipsis 7 with its very own branding, it’s a budget 4G LTE Android tablet

Verizon Wireless may already do its Droids with Motorola, but the carrier seems keen on having just its very own branding on a tablet. It has been caught with a modest-sized chunk of Android called the Ellipsis 7 which sports the Verizon logo only.

As you can see, the image was given away by the @evleaks Twitter account along with the words ‘Verizon Ellipsis 7, 2013.’ That’s about it. We’d be making wild guesses about various aspects of the device if it wasn’t for the latest update from PhoneArena which gives away a few details on the specifications.

There will apparently be more Ellipsis members in the future and this is just the first of them. Verizon has supposedly been handing its staff the required material that’ll have them geared up for the device’s launch on November 7. Those who hate long-term contracts will have to shell out $249.99 for the tablet, while a 2-year commitment will knock $100 off that price.

This Android slate will run on Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and a 1.2GHz quad core processor. Since it’s a budget device and probably one of those Made in China offerings, there’s the chance that we’ll be seeing a MediaTek chip under the hood. A 7-inch HD touchscreen, 8GB ROM, 4G LTE connectivity and a 4000mAh battery also find themselves on the specs sheet.

Who would’ve thought Verizon would want to make a play upon the tablet’s name and release it on November 7? Well, it may have been worse – the Ellipsis could have been called the Abbreviation, the Contraction or something more cringe-worthy.
