The BlackBerry Z10 release date is set for the month’s end via Verizon and it is also up for pre-order through multiple sources such as AT&T, Best Buy and T-Mobile. What’s more, the carrier has also hopped onto the bandwagon allowing potential buyers to register for the device now, with bookings scheduled to take place later in the day.
The Z10 is deployed with a dual core Qualcomm S4 processor and a 4.2-inch HD display that proffers a pixel density of 356ppi. 2GB of RAM allows applications and services to function smoothly, while 16GB of internal memory and a microSDXC card slot cater to memory needs. For snapping up images and recording 1080p full HD videos, an 8MP camera with an LED flash has been positioned onto the rear.
Complementing it is the Time Shift mode which starts to capture stills a milliseconds before and after the shutter button is pressed. Owing to this, users can scroll back and select the appropriate expression for an ideal snap. The front features a 2MP lens that can be used for live calling in conjunction with the Screen Share tool that allows owners to show content from one device onto the display of the other in real time.
There’s a new virtual on-screen keyboard as well, that’s said to learn and adapt to how users type for accurate input. Conversations and messages are placed a peek away and can be accessed via the Hub interface from any screen. The company has embedded an 1800mAh battery to get all components up and running. The phone is capable of delivering approximately 10 hours of talktime or 13 days of standby over 3G.
As earlier disclosed by the provider, the BlackBerry Z10 will be available for a price of $199.99 on the Verizon network with a new 2-year contract agreement. It will be out starting March 28 online and in stores in color options of white and black, the former being exclusive to the network provider in question in the US. The Q10 handset is also scheduled to release with the carrier, although no specific launch details have been provided as yet.
