Apple iPhone 5

While we already came across a rumor about the Apple iPhone 5 release date, there is another follow-up to the story that reveals Verizon Wireless may be all set to stock up on the much anticipated phone starting September 21. Since there’s certainly no smoke without fire, fans may just have reason to believe this news is true.

The guys over at TechCrunch have found that the service provider in question will observe a staff vacation blackout between September 21 and September 30. Additionally the website claims that it has learned this through a ‘trusted source’ from within this organization. And the carrier is certainly not mistaken in expecting a large number of people to turn up as soon as the next generation iPhone hits store shelves.

Reportedly, the smartphone will be announced on September 12 that also happens to be the date when it is expected to go up for pre-order. September 21 is the supposed shipping date of the Apple product. But we cannot be too sure as the company is yet to give its official nod for this piece of information; and the rest of the speculations, we might add.

In addition to this, there are a number of other reports that talk about various components utilized in the phone. It is believed that the next edition of smartphone will not be fitted with a 30-pin connector, but a 9-pin dock which occupies less space than the former. Expected to run on the iOS 6 platform, it will also flaunt a 4-inch Retina display and a unibody backplate.

Apple fans may want to wait for the official announcement before marking September 21 as the Verizon iPhone 5 release date on their respective calendars.
