The price of V-Moda Crossfade M-100 has been revealed as the headset has hit availability status. The company known for its stunning and stylish designs has utilized the inputs of artists and audiophiles in the process of designing and developing the audio device.

It has a characteristic virtually indestructible headband that can be twisted without fear of snapping. The Kevlar-reinforced cables it comes with are detachable and the jack is set at a 45-degree angle leading to a more sturdy structure and subsequently increased durability.

The ear cups are home to the company’s patent-pending 50mm dual diaphragm driver design, and have inner and outer rings separating the thumps of the bass from high and low frequency sounds. There is also passive analog noise isolation leading to more focused audio for better clarity.

One of the key features of the Crossfade M-100 is the dual input, allowing DJs for example, to mix two sources at once. These dual inputs can also be used to daisy chain other headphones paying it forward so to speak, in terms of sharing music. A CliqFold hinge makes sure the large headset folds to fit snugly into a clam-shell exoskeleton carry case.

The over-ear headphones are built on a steel frame and meet military-level MIL-STD-810G test standards. The company says they can withstand over 70 drops onto concrete from a height of 6 feet, as well as extreme temperatures, humidity and UV exposure. The ear cups themselves are molded into the series’ exclusive hexagon shape much like the M-80.

In addition to the headphone’s specs, in terms of style, owners can purchase exchangeable shields giving a further personalized touch to their music experiences. Of these shields, there are several colors and a few patterns to choose from and users can have a personalized logo or emblem engraved on them.

The headphones come with a ‘re-optimized’ SpeakEasy mic tuned to the human range of voice which can work with most smartphones that have a 3.5mm audio port. Then users can chose the optional BoomPro boom mic or the CoilPro extended coiled cable for added flexibility, among other things.

The V-Moda Crossfade M-100 is available for $310 in limited quantities in three shades. And while the matte black metal hue ships in 3 days, shadow and white silver colors will take at least 2 weeks to arrive at customers’ doorsteps.
